Hi, my name is Mark Scott. Home for me is the mid-south, having been born in Tunica, MS, a small farming community nestled beside the grand ole Mississippi River. However, I have lived most of my adult life in Tennessee, along with my wonderful wife and daughter, spending 30 years in the Memphis area. We relocated in 2010 to Henderson, TN. A few years ago, we added a new member to our family, our good buddy, the black lab, who loves to patrol the area.
Over the last 20 years my expertise has been in Internet and network security as well as digital forensics. In addition to serving as founding partner, for several years I served as VP & CTO of a local university. I still serve as an Adjunct Professor. My degree is a Masters of Science in Telecommunications and Information Systems Management and I have Microsoft (MCP) and SANS (GIAC) certifications.
After finishing a degree in computer programming, I became a “jack of all trades” in the IT department at a non-profit healthcare provider. Not long after, Mark (my boss) and I spent all our spare time helping other folks with their network problems, so we decided to form a company. That was 20 years ago, and since then I’ve been helping small and large companies in education, industrial, real-estate, healthcare and more secure their data. I’m a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), but most days you can find me staring at a Snort console, Wireshark PCAP, or a Microsoft Exchange screen.
Though I’m not originally from Memphis, I’ve been here most of my life and call it home. My spare time is consumed with one beautiful wife, 5 sons, Memphis rugby, and old Mercedes diesels.
